Morganite Necklace

Spectacular 99 carat natural, untreated emerald cut morganite gemstone is set in handmade sterling silver pendant mount with champagne diamonds set in bezel mounts at the corners and on the bail which slides on a sterling silver omega link necklace. This beautiful pale blush pink stone bears some natural "fingerprint" inclusions typical of the beryl family of stones, of which emerald is one. The morganite stone is 1.5 inches long and 1 inch wide. The omega link is 18 inches in length. In spite of the size of the stone, it is well balanced and very comfortable to wear. George Kunz, Tiffany's first gemologist, named this form of beryl in honor of the financier and avid gem collector, J.P. Morgan in 1911. Since then it has become eagerly sought by knowledgeable gem collectors. Morganite's subtle colors are very difficult to capture in a photograph, but once seen you will not easily forget its distinctive icy beauty.
