Siberian Emerald Ring

"Chrome diopside is a fabulous green gem that rivals the best emerald at a fraction of the cost." - Cherie Fehrman -

Gorgeous green siberian emerald (chrome diopside) and 14K white gold ring. Chrome diopside is the gorgeous stone with the ugly name - sometimes called siberian emerald because it is mined in Siberia and exceeds the beauty of an emerald. It is what an emerald wishes it could look like. Chrome diopside has beautiful, intense color saturation and far better clarity than an emerald. This ring combines approximately 2.50 carats of chrome diopside with white topaz in a 14K gold setting. A pear shaped central stone is set off by two chrome diopside accent stones with rows of white topaz. This ring has beautiful sparkle when worn. The ring is a size 5.5 but can be resized by your jeweler. The setting is 10 mm at the widest point or just over 1/2 inch wide by about 3/4 inch across the finger.

Chrome diopside is a 5.5 on the Mohs hardness scale making it comparable to lapis lazuli or opal in durability. The beautiful rich green color and clarity of chrome diopside must be seen "in person" to truly be appreciated.
